Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh.

Siri Guru Nanak Darbar – an abode for spiritual enrichment.

It was a long and interesting journey for the Sikh community of the Cardinia Shire Council, who had been trying to find a permanent home for Gurughar since 2013. Steering through varied hurdles from finding the right site, funds, objections, VCAT case to hosting their Raising Day on June 3, 2018 - the path has been enriching, fruitful and worthwhile with us making so many new friends on the way. The Temple likely marks the first Sikh temple in Australia that hoists Australian, Sikh and Aboriginal flags on the premises, marking the commitment to Australian values and celebrating our unity in diversity.

The first phase of construction for our Gurughar located in Officer, Victoria got completed in November 2018. The community hosted their flagship Inaugural Day on 20th January, 2019 while, also, celebrating birthday of the 10th Guru of the Sikh religion – Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The momentous day was attended by over 600 people, including >100 from multicultural communities.

    Our Vision

    • Create awareness about Sikhism
    • Generate positive impact on the society and environment
    • Promote emotional, physical, social and spiritual wellbeing of community members
    • Engage with sangat and implement their feedback for continuous improvement
